The ER-250 Tablet Feeder uses dechlorination tablets. Flush directly off a hydrant or attach a hose to direct flow. Handles flows from 200 – 1,250 GPM and pressures up to 200 PSI. Durable construction allows the tablet feeder to be put to work daily. The method of operation is as follows:
Ensure that the chlorine level of the water to be treated is 10 ppm or less.
Attach ER-250 to the hydrant / water system discharge valve.
Insert an optional ER-250-S Hydrant Flusher Screen if it is being used with the Vita-D-Chlor™ tablets.
Add 4 EnviroREDI™ or Vita-D-Chlor™ tablets.
Open water system valve to begin flow through the ER-250.
Test water flow leaving the ER-250 for chlorine residual. If you are not achieving the zero level you will have to add additional tablets. If you suspect you are over-dosing the chemical, you may use a PVC riser to add to the bottom of the feeder tube.
After 15 – 20 minutes it will most likely be necessary to add additional tablets to continue to achieve zero levels of chlorine.
