The IP800-Series are impeller (or "paddlewheel") insertion meters designed for use with a wide variety of liquids. Bodies are machined from a solid rod for maximum precision. High-quality jewel bearings and nickel-bound tungsten carbide shafts are used for extremely low friction and long life.
The IP800 series meters come in 2 different size ranges, indicated by the 4th character of the model number:
IP81 for 1/2″-3″ pipe
IP82 for 4″-8″ pipe
The next digit of the model number indicates what (if any) electronic module is mounted on the unit:
IP8x0: Sensor only, with current-sinking pulse output for wiring to external device, e.g., wall- or panel-mounted electronic module
The following character indicates what material the sensor body is made from:
IPxxxB: Brass
IPxxxP: PVC
IPxxxS: 316 Stainless Steel
IPxxxY: Polypropylene
The stainless steel version is available in a high-pressure (up to 400 PSI) version: IPxxxS-HP
Other options available:
Ceramic Rotor Shaft ("-01"): Substitute the standard tungsten carbide rotor shaft with a zirconia ceramic rotor shaft.
Silicon Carbide Rotor Shaft ("-68"): Substitute the standard tungsten carbide rotor shaft with a silicon carbide rotor shaft.
Tamper-Evident Kit ("-32"): A wire with a seal runs through the screws, so that the unit can't be opened without breaking the seal.
Viton O-Ring ("-60"): The sensor has an O-ring to seal itself in the fitting. Normally, this is made from EPDM, but if you need increased chemical resistance than use the Viton O-ring.
Non-Resettable Total ("-64"): Flowmeters purchased with this option cannot have the total flow displayed reset to zero.
