Not Included: The sensors need to be mated with a fitting such as the Seametrics saddle fitting, to match whatever your application requires. Connection to a laptop requires a DC3 cable.
Features:
Hot tap: Insert or remove without depressurizing pipe
High quality ruby bearings and carbide or ceramic rotor shaft ensure long life and excellent low-flow performance
Only one moving part that's easily replaced
Paddlewheel machined from solid rod for maximum low-flow performance
No magnetic drag on the paddlewheel rotor as it uses a Hall-effect sensor
Adjustable depth insertion design allows the unit to be installed in a variety of pipes of different sizes
PVDF rotor
Choice of materials for compatibility with variety of chemicals
The IP150/250 series meters have the sensor mounted on a rod that slides in and out of an adapter/isolation valve assembly that mounts on the pipe. Thus, it is adjustable to a range of pipe sizes and the sensor can be removed while keeping the pipe pressurized. It's also possible, with the right tools, to install the unit while the pipe is pressurized. They come in 2 different size ranges, indicated by the first 4 characters of the model number:
IP15 for 3-12" pipe
IP25 for 12"-40" pipe (or larger with the "-72" option, see below)
The next digit of the model number indicates what (if any) electronic module is mounted on the unit:
IPxx0: Sensor only, with current-sinking pulse output for wiring to external device, e.g., wall- or panel-mounted electronic module
The following character indicates what material the sensor body, shaft and adapter fitting are made from:
IPxxxB: Brass
IPxxxP: PVC
IPxxxS: 316 Stainless Steel
Other options available:
Rotor Shaft Material ("-01" or "-68"): The standard rotor shaft is made of nickel-bonded tungsten carbide, a very hard material with good chemical resistance. For certain applications a zirconia ceramic or silicon carbide shaft may be a better choice.
Valve Type ("-08" or "-09"): You can optionally get a stainless steel isolation valve (if you've selected a stainless steel sensor), or the valve can be omitted (you supply your own).
Tamper-Evident Kit ("-32"): A wire with a seal runs through the screws, so that the unit can't be opened without breaking the seal.
Insertion Extension ("-72"): The standard IP25 meters can fit 12"-40" pipe. With this option, they will fit 36"-64" pipes.
