Bazooka tablet or liquid feeder for hydrant and water main flushing/dechlorination. Comes in two varieties, one for tablet and one for liquid injection. 1.5", 2.5", 4" and 4.5" NST connections available. Dechlorination during flushing programs is critical for the health of our waterways as the chlorine will prove to be toxic to fish and other life. Using a dechlorinator is a simple means to ensure chlorine is completely and safely removed
Tablet Feed: How It Works
By opening the hydrant valve, a small amount of water is bypassed from the pressure side of the Bazooka venturi to the rate valve flow meter assembly and supplied to the bottom of the tablet chamber dissolving the tablets in a precise manner. The dechlorination solution is then pulled into the system, making a homogeneous mixture proportioned and controlled to ensure that all water is in contact with the correct amount of chemical. Adjusting the flow meter setting provides precision chemical control to avoid chemical waste or over dechlorination.
Liquid Feed: How It Works
From the open hydrant valve, water passes through the unit creating a vacuum which pulls the dechlorination chemical from its supply container into the system via the rotometer rate valve assembly. The rotometer rate assembly provides precise control of the dechlorination solution strength to avoid chemical waste or over dechlorination.
